Sunday Scrappin'

Sunday Scrappin’
It's time for Sunday Scrappin' again! I love this weekly meme because it gives me motivation to make time to scrap during the week and I find inspiration in other scrappers projects. This week I didn't get as much done as I was hoping but I still have a few things to share. I took one day to mistreat my windows so that cut some extra time away from scrapping. Today I want to start work on Lydia's  first birthday pages (two celebrations and lots of pictures) but have housework to catch up on and am taking the kids out later. Yesterday was such a nice day we went to the park and let them run around in the sunshine. I'm hoping for a few more warm days before rain or cold set in and hope that we've seen the last of the snow for the year. We didn't get nearly as much as some places but too much for being in the South.

Ta-da!:

This is the second page of Lydia's first foods page I shared last Sunday. I am going to look through my rub ons and stickers, number each set of photos and journal in the empty space on the first page. And yes, my daughter was caught eating the cat food at my great grandmother's house during a visit back home. I just had to take a picture before telling her to stop. The bottom picture will be covered with a flip flap (this link page 90 upper left corner), I saw them on this blog post and thought "why didn't I think of that? I could have made my millions" then I contacted another scrappy blog friend who is a CTMH consultant and will be ordering some from her soon. I like that they can be used on the page protector - you don't have to pull the page out to see the other pages or you could put it straight on the page it looks like.

Next I finally made a gift for my friend's daughter. Her party was postponed because of sick kiddos so I'm going to give this to her next time I see her. She likes ladybugs so I thought this board book would be cute. The front & back are made from chip board and the inside pages are card stock with mattes ready to place pictures.

Lastly I did this page. My camera at the time was having some issues so the picture quality isn't great but Lydia was starting to take steps before Shawn deployed and this is what I got on camera. Shortly after he left she was running around after her brother. The facing page will have photos of the two of them, they had such a special bond even when she was little and always bounced right back to it with deployment and training schedules.

I finally made a trip to Hobby Lobby this week, with coupon in hand, to find my 3 ring albums were sold out. Boo. So instead I picked up the Cropodile which I could have got for less at Wal-Mart (even after the coupon but I had a gift card for Hobby Lobby so it worked. :) I also picked up some black letter stickers since I was running low and got some off brand 'thickers' - foam stickers, those are the white stickers on the First Step page. At half the price I should have picked up two packs, I'll get more next time.

To-Do:
  • Make time to scrap Lydia's pictures
  • Journal completed pages
  • Get albums & page protectors
  • Order flip flaps

Love the fact that you caught your daughter red-handed in the kitty food! That'll be a great memory to share for years to come.
Great pages!

I thought that said flip flops - I thought "what does that have anything to do with scrapbooking, is she going to make an altered album?" have you seen those albums ppl make where they use two cheapo flip flops as the front and back cover? :)
