Yesterday I was folding the huge mound of laundry on my bed {accumulated for a few days - oops!} and Michael spotted his underwear. He was very excited about this. While I was putting away Lydia's clothes he grabbed the pile of undies & walked into his room. I went in after him to find that he put the underwear in his top dresser drawer - TOP dresser drawer. I wanted to see him do it & he showed me that he could reach up to open & shut the drawer. o_o This morning he turned on & off his bedroom light - without using his drum stool. My little boy is growing up so fast - he's taller, talks more, observes more, he surprises & impresses me with something new everyday. He really loves going to school & wants to earn stars on his calendar. Yesterday he was sad - almost to tears, because he only had a smiley face & he didn't listen to his teacher. At first I thought it was great that he wants to do so well in school, then I wondered "why doesn't he want to listen to ME??".
Here's some pictures of the kids blowing bubbles the other day!

LOL & awwwww he's growin up! Hey maybe all you have to do is get yourself a chart and some stickers and some happy faces and michael will be puttin socks away and cleanin up toys every chance he gets! Heya lemme know how that works our for ya ;-)
i just posted something about kids growing up too fast too...sigh...
I'm right there with ya Rebecca. I can't believe how big our boys are getting and how 'mature' they're becoming too! It blows me away. The other day I wasn't feeling well, and he told me to lay down and he'd take care of me. He ran to get me a drink, crackers, and patted my arm. So sweet and so big.
That's too funny. I was just thinking the same thing the other day about mine (& thinking i should actually make the time to post some pictures!)
fyi the charts DO work at home the same way they do at school. Even with Lijah believe it or not:)
I love family-blogger!
Btw, I am Michael too ^^
Your children are just adorable. My babies are 32 and 28 years old. Enjoy every day and every minute because time slips by so fast. It seems like yesterday they were your children's ages. I now have 4 grandbabies and one on the way to keep me busy. They love blowing bubbles too.
