SMARTy Pants
I almost forgot about SHS, in fact I almost forgot it was Saturday. I just can't keep my days straight lately. Last month went by so quickly and this past week was a blur of pumpkins, costumes & candy. I did get a few other things accomplished the last couple of days. Remember this goal? Well I was successful! I managed to enter all of the contests that really interested me. They were all fun giveaways but some things I really don't have need for like a nursing cover - weaning the baby! and I decided not to enter for any books, well except a couple for this cookbook because I have a bookshelf full of books that I have yet to read. That was SMART of me wasn't it? Not bringing in any more clutter or things I won't get to. I just found out this morning that I won a drawing for a year's subscription to the Family Fun magazine. My first step in that will be to figure out a way to keep my favorite articles without keeping stacks of magazines. I see binders, page protectors & color coded dividers in my future...how exiting! So last week I decided to completely restart my SMARTness. It's going pretty well so far. I did a quick clean in the kitchen all but two nights, if I remember correctly, maybe three. But not a bad start. So I'll continue doing that this week. I also want to get back into organizing a space - whatever size - each day. I have stacks of scrappy magazines that I need to go through, a random box in the corner by the back door & I'm not sure what's in there along with a bedroom that is just a disaster. In fact it's so bad that there will be before & after pictures involved and it will be entered into a contest. Having an organized & clean room is a reward in itself but winning prizes are always fun too.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a SMART week. Click on the button for more SMARTy pants.

9 and then you said:
It sounds like you had a happy week. All those contests sound fun.
Your kids look adorable in their outfits. I don't know where October or the rest of the year has gone.it amazing to me that we will be taking about new years resolutions anytime now.........LOL. Good luck with your mag pile......I have one too and I am going to take a pic and wait to see what you do with yours. I don't know whether I want to cut them up or keep them whole and just tidy them up and put them in storage........or should I just give them away.........I don't know! have a great week
you're much more SMART than me! Keep it up!
And congratulations on the win!
I've got company this weekend, so not a good time to start up with SHS again, but I think I will next week. A couple of times this past week, I did the 15 minute de-cluttering and was amazed how much I could actually get done in just 15 minutes. (HA, and even more amazed how tidy I could make my house look in a 2-frenzy right before my parents got here yesterday!!)
Good luck this week!
Oh, those Family Fun magazines NEED an organizing binder for the good articles. I need to work on that too!
Rebecca, I tagged you! Check out my blog for the details...
You always get me going on my next project! Time to move my summer clothes into the storage bins and get out my cold weather duds. I have piles in my bedroom that are starting to look like the Himalyas.
I DO visit your site daily...more like three times daily.
Yes, even elephants are invited.
No, no one stayed up late baking but I did get to watch the girls play hockey, eat Thai food and have yummy carrot cake from a local bakery so it was all good!
Thanks. And if you don't win the Seinfeld book, I'll send you my copy since the girls don't need too much disguising....
I started a new blog--sorry couldnt find your email to tell you xoxoox www.heymyecho.blogspot.com
