SMARTish

I haven't been able to stay focused this week or I've focused too much - I can't decide. I'm feeling very unfocused right now so my apologies in advance. Anyways, I've either been very focused but only on one thing - like for one whole day I'm focused on cleaning the house and I get stuff around the house done but nothing done for my business, personal time or errands. But then other days I keep going from one to another to another without really finishing anything and at the end of the day I'm very tired but it doesn't look like anything is accomplished.

Another example of my focusing issues is this. January's habit was to keep the sink clean throughout the day with emphasis on cleaning it out at night. I did okay. February I decided to start getting my laundry folded right after taking it out of the drier. So this week my sink has been clean. My laundry? Well, there are two loads sitting in the spilling out of the basket on my bed and another in the drier. :sigh:

I think I need a schedule or an assistant or lower expectations. The third would be easier and definitely affordable. An assistant? Ha! But if I had one I can guarantee you they would be doing my shopping, cleaning and errand running. I may even have them write this blog so you sweet people aren't subjected to my endless rambling.

To sum it up, I'm still working on it. All of it, take your pick. Have a SMART week, & I hope it's better focused than mine was. Click on the button above for some SMARTer people and see what they're doing. Thanks for visiting!

You sound like me. I like to focus on one thing at a time. I hate to be interrupted and I have a hard time going from one thing to another to the next. I'm learning to take small moments to accomplish things when I can get them though. It takes time.

I just told Dave the other day that I felt like I was giving about 40%-60% on the 400 things I have to do...

But you're right, when you focus on one thing (like, uh, i don't know cleaning old files off your computer) for an entire day, nothing else gets done.

Where's the happy medium??

I vote for the assistant! Being focused on one thing seems so hard when there are like 32 people interrupting you throughout the day. I think some days are just like that, one is focused and you get one thing DONE, the next you get a few smaller things donER ;-) Hopefully this week will go a little better and more focused for you! GOOD LUCK BEING SMART!

Some days are harder than others. My focus since December has been to keep the clutter and laundry under control. For the most part...it's been taken care of. BUT some days...it gets out of control. PS...you don't endlessly ramble! :)

I always tease my husband by saying, "If the Mormon Church ever decides to have Polygammy again.. I hope your second wife doesn't mind being my maid." OF COURSE I WOULD NEVER GO ALONG WITH POLYGAMY... but that's a whole other topic...

I can be like that, too. I start to clean somewhere and then get sidetracked into cleaning elsewhere. On and on and on. Then I wonder why the house doesn't look clean. hee hee

Thanks for stopping by and for commenting!

I like the idea of an assistant. Where do I get one of those? There is always tomorrow. :)
