Well, I haven't posted since last Scrappy Sunday but I have scrapped! Okay, so I only scrapped yesterday but hey, I'm scrapping once a week which is more than I have been in the past several months. I did attempt to scrap Saturday but I didn't start as soon as I put the kids down for nap and Lydia woke up early, so I started & finished with a pile of pictures and papers scattered. Sunday however, I chose new pictures that I didn't have such a hard time finding paper for & got all but the journaling & title done during nap. Later that night I finished up. I'm not completely wowed by them but they are done. With all of the catching up I have to do {as if I'll ever really be caught up} I'm glad to have one more set of pictures {memories} with their story told. Notice the how not fuzzy the pictures are?? My new camera arrived today - which is why I didn't post these last night, wanted to wait for the new camera. More on that Tuesday. My tada:
I copied a layout idea from one of my Becky Higgins' Creative Sketches books. I changed up the journaling placement. I didn't have a paper that I thought fit as a journal box so I tried something different and inked the journaling afterwards, not sure how much I like it. I may try to outline it with chalk or something. As always you can click on each picture for a closer look, should you be interested.
My to-do's:
Just to scrap. Taking the time for myself to scrap is my biggest challenge so I'm going to keep working with that. I want to start planning out my pages ahead of time so I might try to plan a few pages throughout the week and then have a better starting point when the weekend comes. We'll see.
Bonus Question: What's your favorite supply to work with right now?
Hmm...that's a tough one. I don't really have one product that I always use - outside of papers of course. But I do ink a lot & recently started sanding some of my papers too. So I'll say ink - oh and paper bags. I LOVE making paper bag albums.
Thanks for visiting! Have a scrap happy week! To see more scrappers or join in click the button above.

AWWWW! LOVE that layout! I love the colors too, AND the clarity! :-D I would say your fav tool is your new camera! YAY SCRAPPING MORE! I can't wait to see your TAT!
Lovely page! Great picture of your layout! Have fun with your new camera! I hope your able to make time to scrap this week. Have a great week!
hey thanks for popping by. Sorry I haven't been popping by as much lately (computer issues, etc.)
Yes, syrup in the fridge... it says right on the bottle to refridgerate after opening! :) We have always done that, and when my brother's (now ex-)girlfriend moved in my mom's house for a while, I thought it was weird that she didn't put it in the fridge!
And I'm not so sure I want to find out about those bugs....
great scraps you have posted here. I want to be a scrapbooker, I've bought a few supplies but I have no idea where to start! I wish I had some local scrapping buddies!
Great pages. Aren't Becky Higgins sketches the best? I love that lay-out, I haven't seen it before.
Thanks for sharing!
I love becky's sketches, they are always cute and helpful to get me going! Love your photos and color choices!
Hmmmm, could you go into more detail sometime about paper bag albums? I'm curious. I'm not a scrapper, but I'm vaguely interested in creating small albums for certain occasions. I just don't really know where to start and I don't want it to cost lots of money.
I'm really enjoying checking out your masterpieces and I'm looking forward to the bright beautiful pictures your new camera will take!!
I love your pages. I love to scrapbook but am about 9 years behind. I am still working on a baby album for my almost 8 year old. Forget about his 3 younger siblings and the two that came before! Ugh!
from one housewife to another...
Your layouts are great! I like those colors...I use those aame ones quite often in my son's album. :) Have fun using your new camera. :)
