Masterpiece Monday: A fun way to show off your scrappy work throughout the past week. Also a great way to see lots of other page ideas & inspiration. Great way for me to get motivated to get scrappy!I did up this little button for it so click on it to go check out Chriss' scrappy progress - she did A LOT more than I did and has really great pages. I especially like the spread that has pictures of us and our coffee and she says all these really *sweet* things about me. So go check her out. And if you have any scrappy work that you've done throughout the week or recently then leave her a comment letting her know and any participants can check out your work. We just love to see new pages & ideas.
Last Monday we both got the itch to scrap - I think posting our last pages motivated us to get more done. So via our cell phones {better than nothing} we scrapped and talked. I got three pages done and was finished for the week because my adhesive ran out. By the way, none of you are using a glue stick to scrap are you? I know they are reallycheap affordable but they don't last. If you take the time to scrap & spend the money on supplies then spend a little bit more on adhesive that lasts. Okay I'm done with my soapbox. Anyway, I couldn't scrap the rest of the week but she was able to & got a total of 9 pages done. w00t! for Chriss. So here's my work and I guess one of these weeks while she's busy packing & moving and setting up house I'll have to take advantage and I don't know, catch up or something. Well, I can try anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if she stole an hour here & there to scrap during the moving madness.
The first one I did was father's day from last year. I used the remaining transparency from a rub on letter for a monogram, using ink & a photo marker {won't smear} to highlight the F. I kept the layout simple, love the word collage paper & need to work on writing straight - may redo journaling one day.
These are some old photos from 2005 - catching up! My brother played his first season of football & we were able to see a game while visiting. I still need to do the journaling - had to get his stats, I'm thinking of doing it like the back of a trading card. See how little my son was?

YAY Masterpiece Monday! I love your "daddy" page, so cute! And you look so cute with short hair! I think I might "borrow" this layout from ya! ;-)
I really like this page too, cause it's simple and focus's so much on the pictures oh and I love the letters! wow Shell looks so different there!
I really like #3! I love the curled corner and the scalloped edges. I love the usage of the pattern paper, and how many pics you were able to get on without it looking crowded. I also like the little arrows :-D
So you better get some adhesive missy or I am gonna SMOKE you again this week! I only have 2 boxes to pack so what else am I gonna do! I almost scrapped more yesterday but my table was still clean from having company over and I didn't have heart to mess it all up again, I do today though ;-)
P.S. GLUE STICKS ARE BAD BAD BAD!
I LOVE your short hair in the Father's day photo! You'll be happy to know that I put the glue stick in the kids' craft box and went out and bought some 'Zots'...however, I was peeling them off individually and sticking them on the backs of photos until my SIL showed me how to just put the photo on the glue dot and just pull it away from the paper tape. DUH. Further evidence that I am craft-challenged.
I use to love to scrapbook prior to kids but since them, I have never got back into it. You are inspiring me to start work on their first year albums.........I will let you know if I get started.I have my mum coming over from England in a few weeks so maybe I will get a bit of time to myself then............
